Construction Collectibles started as a diecast collection. It's grown into something bigger — a case for the machines, the trade, and the people who show up to do the work most of the world drives past without a second look.
Construction Collectibles is a scale model and heavy equipment collection run by Jason A. Jensen, spanning 1:24, 1:48/1:50, and 1:87 scale equipment, alongside real machines spotted on job sites around Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jason grew up in Las Vegas riding along with his grandfather on job sites before he could see over the dashboard. His grandfather ran a paving and earthwork company doing civil work, grading, and aggregate crushing across the valley, and by age 13, Jason was working there himself during summer breaks, learning the business from the ground up. He's stayed close to the industry ever since, building and developing land today and staying hands-on with the grading side of projects. His family's business is still active in aggregates and heavy equipment, including a 160-acre sand and gravel pit near Nellis Air Force Base.
He's been collecting scale equipment since he was a kid. His first was a diecast Cat 988B wheel loader. The obsession came back for good in March 2023, when the hunt for the best Next Gen D11 dozer model on the market turned into his first serious 1:24 scale purchase, a museum-quality piece he bought because nothing else came close.
Cat makes up most of the collection, but there's plenty of Komatsu shovels, Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks, and Volvo excavators in the mix too. It spans 1:24, 1:48/1:50, and 1:87 scale, sourced from manufacturers including CCM (Classic Construction Models), Diecast Masters, TWH, BYMO, Sword Models, Heavy Haul Replicas, First Gear, Norscot, NZG, Conrad, WSI, and Weiss Brothers. Most of it is diecast, with a handful of handcrafted, limited-edition brass pieces mixed in, one-of-a-kind models built to be kept forever.
This is a space for all of it, the miniatures on the shelf and the full-size iron out in the world doing the same work.
